I am teaching this class while located on land that rightfully belongs to the Coahuiltecan Nation (kwa-weel-tay-kans). Over 200+ tribes, clans, and bands reside in this region. I acknowledge the harm done to these communities and people and strive to make change that helps the tribes and clans located in this region. I acknowledge that I must do more to learn about the history of this land to better understand my role as a resident here.
